Souris Sea Fest (Regatta / Port Day)

This year’s 2007 Souris Sea Fest (Regatta/Port Day) Committee is preparing to have our major annual summer event This community-driven event draws people from all across the Island as we celebrate the sea in both traditional and modern ways.  This celebration is one for all ages and brings both the community and its visitors together for a great time.

The Souris Sea Fest will be held on July 6,7 and 8, 2007 at the Souris Wharf.  The Souris Regatta has decided to start all over with a brand new name.  Souris Sea Fest - Regatta / Marina day.  The Town of Souris is so excited about joining forces with the Marina to make both our events even better.

  • Entertainment Show Case - Come out and enjoy all the local talent.  We have a large variety of music, from fiddle to country to old Irish music.  If your interested in taking part, please call Melvin at 743-2277. 

  • Miss Queen of the Sea Pageant - This wonderful event is set up to show how talented, beautiful  and brilliant our local teenage girls are.  Miss Queen of the Sea may also have the  opportunity to represent the Souris Sea Fest at the Miss Teen Canada Pageant.  Come out and support the girls.  If you would like to take part in this event, please contact Liz MacDonald at 687-1320.

Today is our Marina Day.  Some of the activities that are planned for this year include:

  • Boat Races

  • Poker Run

  • Magic Show

  • BBQ

  • Children's Bouncers

There is truly something for everyone.  It is a massive event, drawing thousands of people every year.

All these events are set up at different locations across the harbour.  The Multi Sport Relay is a huge  event starting at 9:00am Saturday morning. All other events will start to begin at 1:00pm and the times allocated for these events will be on the flyers that will be sent out in the mail.
